What people ask us.
Is Kollect free?
Yes. The app and your collection pages are free, with no ads and no cap on how many pieces you add. Kollect is built by a collector, for collectors, and to be straight with you, I have not settled on a business model behind it yet. One thing is certain: there will be no ads, and no paywall on the essentials, such as how many collections or pieces you can have.
Is there an iPhone app?
The iOS app is written, it runs. What is missing is Apple's developer account, 99 dollars a year, which we are not paying yet: the release is postponed, not abandoned. In the meantime Kollect installs from Safari in two taps and sits on your home screen, full screen and without a browser bar, as close to a real app as it gets. On Android, the app is on Google Play.
Who can see my collections?
Only you, until you decide otherwise. Each collection is public or private on its own, and you can switch at any time. A private collection has no web page and shows up nowhere.
Does someone need an account to see a collection I share?
No, and that is the whole point. The link opens in any browser: nothing to install, nothing to create. You can send it to someone who collects nothing at all.
What can I collect?
Whatever you like. Records, watches, sneakers, cards, stamps, Lego, perfumes: you choose each collection's fields, so nothing forces you into a category someone else picked.
What if I want to leave?
You can delete your account from the app, under Profile, along with your collections and photos. A question, a bug, an idea: write to contact@kollect.me, we answer.
